Encouragement for the Waiting Room
Words of hope for the in-between season — encouragement and inspiration while you wait on what God has promised.
The waiting room is one of the loneliest places in the world. It is the space between the promise and the fulfillment — between what God said and what you can see. And it is holy ground, even when it does not feel like it.
Waiting Is Not Wasted
We often treat waiting as dead time, as if nothing counts until the answer arrives. But God does some of His deepest work in the delay. Character is built in the waiting room. Dependence is built there. So is the kind of faith that does not collapse the first time circumstances shift.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
What to Do While You Wait
Worship before the answer comes. Serve someone else while your own need is still unmet. Keep a record of every small mercy — the phone call that came at the right time, the peace that showed up out of nowhere, the strength you did not have yesterday. Gratitude is how you keep your eyes open in a dark room.
And be gentle with yourself. Waiting well does not mean waiting perfectly. Some days you will pray with confidence and some days you will simply whisper His name. Both count.
His Plan, Not Mine
I have learned to stop demanding a timeline and start trusting a Person. God is not late, and He is not withholding. He is preparing you for what He has already prepared for you. Hold on, friend. The waiting room has a door, and God knows exactly when to open it.
