Teaching: Standing on the Word
Scripture-rooted teaching for overcomers — practical, Biblical truth for the days when standing feels like the hardest thing you can do.
There is a difference between knowing the Word and standing on it. Knowing it fills your notebook. Standing on it holds you up when everything else gives way. Overcomers are not people who never shake — they are people who have learned where to place their feet.
Standing Requires Something to Stand On
Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God so that we may be able to stand. Notice that standing is the goal. Not running, not performing, not proving. Standing. When you have done everything else you know to do, you stand — and the ground you stand on is Scripture.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
Ephesians 6:13
Three Practical Ways to Stand
First, speak the Word out loud. Faith comes by hearing, and there are days your own ears need to hear your own mouth agree with God. Second, write it down. A verse on an index card taped to your mirror will preach to you on the mornings you have no words of your own. Third, pray it back to Him. Praying Scripture is not a formula — it is agreement.
On the days when standing feels impossible, shrink the assignment. Stand for one hour. Then one more. God is not measuring your stride; He is honoring your stance.
The Word Does Not Return Empty
Isaiah 55:11 promises that the Word God sends out accomplishes what He pleases. That means the Scripture you are standing on today is already at work — even when you cannot see one bit of evidence. Keep standing. God shall bring it to pass.
