Don’t Give Up Before Your Due Season

Galatians 6:9 KJV says:

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

I was reminded during a conversation with God that, as believers, we never fight by ourselves.

Us plus God equals a majority.

So no matter how we feel, no matter what we see, and no matter what the situation looks like right now, we have to remember that God is with us.

Galatians 6:9 gives us a powerful reminder, but sometimes we can read a Scripture so quickly that we miss what it is really saying. Let’s break it down in everyday language.

“Let us not be weary in well doing…”

In other words: Do not get tired of doing what is right.

Keep doing what God told you to do. Keep showing up. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep loving. Keep serving. Keep making the right choices even when it feels like nothing is changing.

“…for in due season…”

Due season means the right time—the appointed time.

Everything has an appointed time. Just because you have not seen the answer yet does not mean God has forgotten you.

“…we shall reap…”

That means a harvest is coming.

Notice the Scripture says we shall reap. There is a promise attached to our perseverance.

But there is one condition.

“…if we faint not.”

In everyday language: Do not give up.

That is the part I want you to hold on to today.

Whatever you are facing, remember two things.

First, you are not alone. God is with you. You are not fighting this battle by yourself.

Second, do not get tired of doing what is right. At the right and appointed time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.

You may be tired.

You may not understand what God is doing.

You may not see any evidence yet that things are changing.

But do not quit before your due season.

Sometimes the breakthrough comes after the season when you felt like giving up the most.

Keep going.

Keep believing.

Keep doing what is right.

Keep trusting God.

Your due season has an appointed time.

“At the right time, I , the Lord, will make it happen.”- Is. 60:22b NLT

Don’t give up before you get there.
